Learn Email

You will need:

1. Highline Username
2. Password

How to login to Canvas

1. Open Chrome



2. In the address bar, type canvas.highline.edu



3. Type your Highline username (1), password (2), and click Login (3)



4. You’re in! In your Dashboard scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on Highline Student Email.

First Time Logging in to your Highline Email account

1. Type your username@students.highline.edu and click Next.



2. Type your password and click Next.



3. Click Accept.



4. OPTIONAL: You can add a recovery phone number and email. If not, click on Confirm.



5. You’re in! Check for the Highline College logo at the top right.

How to Compose a Message

1. Click Compose.



2. If this is your first time, you might see a blue message box at the bottom right. Click on Dismiss.



3. Type the email address (1), type the subject (2), email message (3) and click send (4).

1. On the left click on Sent. Find your sent message.

Email Etiquette

1. Here are some polite email manners:
2. Give your teacher a day or two to answer your email.
3. Don’t send the same email more than once.
4. Start your email with hello or hi.
5. Finish your email with thank you, name and ID number.
6. Remember the subject line is 5 words or less
