Transition to College resources

 

Transition Success Center

At the Transition Success Center, you can make an appointment to discuss the steps to transition to college. Learn about the different pathways and programs at Highline, learn about the different ways to find money for college, get help completing the Highline college admissions application, and more!

Jumpstart Program

In the Jumpstart Program, students prepare for college. They study English, College transition skills, and Math*.  Visit the website to learn more and to apply for the program.

Welcome Back Center

If you have a degree from your home country or if you worked as a professional and you’d like to continue the same work in the US, visit the Welcome Back Center to begin the process. Visit the website for hours and advisor emails.

 

Academic Success Resources

Writing Center

At the Writing Center, you can get help with your reading or writing homework with the help of a tutor. Visit the website to make an appointment.

At the Tutoring Center, you can get help with any homework with the help of a tutor. Visit the website to view drop-in hours.

Math Resource Center

Building 30 Help Desk

In building 30, you can use a computer and printer. You can also get help with your student email and CTC link account. Bring your laptop or device you use to study, and get technology support. Visit the website to view the hours.

Request a laptop

If you need a computer to study, you can borrow a laptop from Highline College. Complete the form and check your student email for steps on how to pick up your laptop.

Highline College Library

Borrow a book, use a computer or printer, or ask a librarian a question at the Highline College Library.  There is a section for ESOL students called the New Reader’s Section. There you can find books by 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Visit the website to view the hours.

Career Services

At Career Services, you can get help finding a job or preparing for a career. You can take personality tests, career assessments, prepare for an interview, and more. Visit the website to view hours and current workshops.

Buy a Parking Pass

Highline College requires students who drive to campus to buy a parking pass. Visit the website for instructions on how to purchase a parking pass online or in-person. Evening and Saturday students DO NOT need a parking pass.
