Mission
The mission of the English Language, Career and Academic Prep (ELCAP) department at Highline College is to prepare our students to be college and career ready by fostering a pursuit of life-long learning, innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, cultural responsiveness, and contributions to the community.

We offer courses in English language skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, study skills, math, and technology.

We’re excited to welcome you to the Fall 2026 term and look forward to supporting you throughout the semester. Please review our office hours and upcoming office closures below so you can plan your visit accordingly.
🕒 Regular Fall 2026 Office Hours
We’re here to support you throughout the Fall quarter. Our regular office hours are:
- Monday: 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday–Thursday: 7:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📅 Fall 2026 Office Closures
The ELCAP office will be closed on the following dates:
- Friday, October 16, 2026 — Professional Development Day
- Wednesday, November 11, 2026 — Veterans Day Holiday
- Thursday, November 26, 2026 — Thanksgiving Holiday
- Friday, November 27, 2026 — Thanksgiving Holiday
