Mission
The mission of the English Language, Career and Academic Prep (ELCAP) department at Highline College is to prepare our students to be college and career ready by fostering a pursuit of life-long learning, innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, cultural responsiveness, and contributions to the community.

We offer courses in English language skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, study skills, math, and technology.

🍂 Fall Break Office Hours
September 8–25, 2026
During Fall Break, the ELCAP office will be open:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
- Saturday: Closed
🕒 Regular Fall 2026 Office Hours
Our regular office hours are:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
📅 Fall 2026 Office Closures
The ELCAP office will be closed on the following dates:
- Monday, September 7, 2026 —Labor Day Holiday
- Saturday, October 17, 2026 — Professional Development Day
- Wednesday, November 11, 2026 — Veterans Day Holiday
- Thursday, November 26, 2026 — Thanksgiving Holiday
- Friday, November 27, 2026 — Thanksgiving Holiday
